Enel X triples the charging points for electric vehicles

Thanks to a partnership entered into with Allego, Bosch and Innogy, Enel X is tripling its electric vehicle charging network from 10.500 to 30 charging points available in Europe.

Enel X triples its electric vehicle charging network, going from around 10.500 to 30 available charging points and announces the launch of eRoaming connectivity, a project carried out with Dutch electric vehicle charging network operator Allego, Robert Bosch GmbH and German company Innogy. 

As part of the Hubject e-mobility platform, thanks to this collaboration the users of the Enel X JuicePass app they will have the possibility to recharge their vehicles in the stations managed by Allego (15 points), Bosch (550) and Innogy (4.000) without having to enter into any contract. This is a network of over 19.500 points in Belgium, Germany, Luxembourg and the Netherlands which will add to the 10.500 already available. The app will provide information on the location of the charging stations, the available power, the type of connector, real-time availability and roaming prices. 

Francesco Venturini, CEO of Enel X, said: “Enel X offers electric vehicle drivers a uniform charging experience across Europe without having to worry about where to recharge their electric vehicles abroad or entering into contracts with other suppliers. We have successfully finalized this project and looking to the future, we will continue to roll out similar eRoaming initiatives to drive economic recovery through our sustainable business model. To achieve this we will also exploit the many opportunities offered by the Hubject network, in order to create a real electric highway that crosses the Continent, leading Europeans out of this difficult period and towards a truly open society".
