New chapter in artificial intelligence. Elon Musk returns to the charge and relaunches his chatbot Grok with a new version, the 3, which promises to be the most advanced of all.
Il official launch it will materialize this evening with a demo live scheduled for 20:00 PM ET. “Grok 3 will be the smartest on Earth“, Musk declared via a post on his X profile, accompanying the announcement with the promise of a performance that will outshine any other AI currently available.
Currently, Grok uses version 2, which is available free on X for a few months. To access it, just go to the profile and find it among the options, where users can generate texts and images at no cost. Starting from February 28, Grok will be also available in Italy. Italian users will be able to download it directly on iOS and Android devices. The app, which will be free to download, is already available for pre-registration on the Play Store and App Store, allowing users to receive it automatically upon official release. The iOS version is expected by the end of the month, while the Android version could be released in the same period or shortly after.
Musk: “Grok is the most advanced AI in the world”
Musk's commitment to creation of the “most powerful artificial intelligence” is now well known. During the World Government Summit in Dubai, he had already anticipated that the project was almost completed and that the launch would take place soon. “We are in the final stages of finalizing Grok 3,” he declared, adding that the presentation would take place within a week or two. His words have created great expectations, with Musk who underlined the “advanced reasoning ability” of Grok 3, calling it superior to any other known system.

The launch of Grok 3 comes right after a move that caused a stir: Musk Tried to Take Back OpenAI, the company he helped found with Sam Altman, with an offering of over $97,4 billion. The response from Altman, CEO of OpenAI, was as ironic as it was cutting: “No thanks, but We will buy Twitter for 9,74 billion of dollars if you want,” a direct attack on Musk's management of the platform. Subsequently, on the sidelines of theAI Action Summit Paris, Altman confirmed in more serious tones that “OpenAI is not for sale“, accusing Musk of wanting to demonstrate his economic strength, without respect for the company's core values. Over the weekend, even the OpenAI's board of directors officially rejected the offer.
Disappointed by the rejection, Muk accused OpenAI of having strayed from its initial mission, turning into amore profit-oriented organization rather than maintaining its “open source and non-profit” spirit. An episode that further increases tensions between the main players in the sector and that does not seem destined to end soon, fueling an ongoing war between the two AI gurus.
