Edison: Benayoun is coming instead of Lescoeur

On Tuesday, the Board should decide on the rotation at the top even if Lescoeur will remain to close until the end of the year

Edison: Benayoun is coming instead of Lescoeur

The Frenchman Marc Benayoun, EDF's manager for the business and professional market, will be Edison's new CEO. In the race for indiscretions in view of Tuesday's board of directors, this would be the most probable name for the passing of the baton with Bruno Lescoeur.

However, the latter will remain in office until 31 December to best conclude his work, which began in April 2011). Edison preferred not to comment on these rumors. Benayoun, 52, worked as a consultant at Boston Consulting for about 20 years and joined EDF in 2009 when the French giant was led by Pierre Gadonneix (who was replaced by Henri Proglio in November of that year). To date, in EDF, he holds the position of director for energy sales to companies and professionals: a profile, therefore, more focused on the commercial sector, which in Italy promises more interesting development margins than generation.
