Just over 3.700 businesses, 670 of which based in Amatrice, Accumoli and Arquata del Tronto, and over 5 thousand total employees. These are the productive activities, above all small and family-run, present in the area affected by the earthquake of last August 24th. The map of the companies registered in the 16 Municipalities identified by the Government in the declaration of state of emergency, taken from the Business Register, was immediately made available to the Civil Protection to facilitate the quantification of the damages.
Starting from this first census, the Coordination Unit of the Chambers of Commerce for support to businesses affected by the earthquake, in which the presidents and general secretaries of the chambers of the 6 provinces involved participate (Ascoli Piceno, Fermo, L'Aquila,
Perugia, Rieti and Teramo), as well as the president of Unioncamere, Ivan Lo Bello, and the general secretary, Giuseppe Tripoli, and InfoCamere, yesterday developed a series of actions aimed at facilitating a rapid restart of economic activities.
In the first place, they provide for the suspension of the annual fee for the damaged companies. For the benefit of the latter, InfoCamere has made available a telematic system – already used with companies affected by the Ligurian flood – which will allow entrepreneurs to communicate the damages suffered. Furthermore, the one-stop telematics counter for production activities is still active and is managed by the Chambers of Commerce for the municipalities of Amatrice and Accumoli (in the province of Rieti), Campotosto and Montereale (L'Aquila) by virtue of the agreement signed with their respective municipalities.
The coordination has also ordered the preparation of a "fast track" for entrepreneurs who need to dialogue with their Chamber of Commerce. Finally, a Solidarity Fund will be set up at Unioncamere, fueled by contributions from all the Chambers of Commerce and which will be aimed precisely at facilitating the most rapid recovery of production activities.

"We will be alongside businesses and local administrators to contribute to the fastest recovery of activities with our digital services, the coaching and support of our staff and the concreteness of the economic resources that we will be able to put in place".
