Women and work, 100 million for female entrepreneurship

Incentives for female entrepreneurship: 100 million a year for the next two-year period 2012-2013. It is one of the proposals envisaged in the bills that the Senate Industry Commission has begun to examine.

A first provision (signed by Patrizia Bugnano, IDV) allocates, starting from the year 2012, a quota of no less than 20 percent of the Fund for corporate finance to the creation of new women's businesses. In this way, approximately 100 million euros will be allocated for each of the years 2012 and 2013 in favor of interventions to improve access to credit through the provision of guarantees on loans granted by banks, training programs and consultancy for access to finance and interventions to support corporate consolidation processes.

A similar sum is allocated to female entrepreneurship by a second bill, signed by Angela Maraventano (Lega) which aims to promote the creation of new female enterprises through the refinancing of the National Fund for female entrepreneurship in the amount of 100 million euros each year of the three-year period 2012-2014. Funds that can also be used to finance projects aimed at technological innovation rather than market research to improve the placement of production.

Finally, the bill that sees the first signing of the third pole senator Ida Germontani aims to encourage female entrepreneurship through the increase of two percentage points of the tax relief provided for companies that reinvest their capital and a tax credit in 33 per cent where expenses have been incurred for technological innovation, research projects, professional refresher courses or the creation of new jobs.

Some hypotheses are envisaged for coverage: increasing the single tax levy on gaming by 15 per cent, reducing the expenditure for intermediate consumption incurred by the public administration. The commission decided to start a short cycle of hearings to then arrive at a text that unifies the three bills.
