A preview of the dividend season which will start in April. Today, November 18, in Piazza Affari, a total of eight companies detach their coupons, divided between Ftse Mib and All Share. In the vast majority of cases it is an interim dividend for next year, but there are two exceptions: the first is Mediobanca which distributes the coupon over the entire financial year ended 30 June. To shareholders a dividend of 47 cents per share, equal to a yield (calculated on the November 15 closing price) of 4,41%. The second is instead Danieli, whose top management decided to distribute a dividend of €0,15 for ordinary shares and a dividend of €0,1707 for savings shares. The total amount is 11,91 million, for a yield slightly above 0,9% for ordinary bonds and 1,7% for savings bonds.

As mentioned there are eight companies anticipating the dividend season: five belonging to the main list (in addition to Mediobanca there are Terna, Tenaris, Recordati, Poste Italiane and three to the All Share: Banca Mediolanum, Coima Res and Danieli Odr.

For the Ftse Mib will have a detachment of 0,18% on the entire list, which net of dividends is currently above parity (+0,06%), while on the All Share the weight is equal to 0,17%.

We recall that according to the first 2020 dividend estimates, again this year the shareholders will be able to consider themselves satisfied. Based on calculations made by The Economy of Corriere della Sera, the average yield guaranteed by the securities of the main Milanese listing will be equal to 3,8%. It will be first Intesa Sanpaolo which will guarantee its investors a return of around 8,7%, in line with what was done in 2019 but above all with the coupon policy contained in the business plan. It will be second Azimuth, queen of dividends for two years, which should guarantee a yield of 7,7%. They follow Unipolsai and Eni, whose yield should settle at 6,4%. In this regard, we recall that on 23 September Eni also distributed the interim dividend, equal to 43 cents, while on 20 January it will be Enel's turn which will pay an interim dividend of 16 cents per share.

Going back to November 18th, all companies that leave today expect to pay their dividend (or interim dividend) on November 20th.
