Fiscal delegation: ok from the Finance Committee in the Chamber, the text in the Chamber on Wednesday

Green light from the Montecitorio Finance Commission for the tax delegation. The measure is awaited Wednesday 10 October in the Chamber. "If the government wants to obtain definitive approval in the next few months – Gianfranco Conte, president of the commission, warned at the press conference – it must put its trust in both the Chamber and the Senate". To speed up the procedures, in any case, "we will try to merge the articles, which are now 17", added Conte.

He also spoke today to solicit approval the president of Confindustria, Giorgio Squinzi: “The tax burden penalizes companies and subtracts resources from research and innovation – said the number one of the industrialists -. My appeal is in favor of companies that die of taxes, I believe that photography is realistic. Delegation is essential as soon as possible. We told Monti”.

As regards the contents of the provision, one of the latest amendments approved provides the stop to the unification of the fiscal agencies. The correction, presented by the rapporteur Alberto Fluvi, envisages that "the incorporation of the Autonomous Administration of State Monopolies and of the Territory Agency into the Customs Agency and the Revenue Agency, respectively, will be suspended".

On the tax relief of thirteenth month salaries and expansion of the "no tax area", on the other hand, there are no measures under study. This was specified by the undersecretary for the Economy, Vieri Ceriani, in relation to some indiscretions in the press: “I don't know at all. They are boomos on measures that the Government will take next week ”.

One possibility on the table is instead the advance to 2013 of the Tax Cut Fund. “The possibility could be evaluated – Ceriani said again in his speech yesterday in the commission – of envisaging the option of bringing forward the activation of the Fund for the structural reduction of the tax burden to 2013”.

No discount, however, for the evaders: "In the fiscal delegation, the minimum penalty limits established by the legislation against tax evasion are not reduced", assured the deputy Pd Marco Causi, member of the Finance commission.
