Missing implementing decrees, from 889 to 300: here is the result of the Renzi government

The legacy of the Monti and Letta government, in terms of implementing decrees that never arrived, was approximately 889 measures. Minister Maria Elena Boschi announces that thanks to the work of the Ministers of the Renzi government, the stock of implementing decrees has dropped to around 300 decrees. "It's a bit of Penelope's canvas - replies the Deputy Director of Sole 24Ore Forquet who interviews the Minister - the Sun has calculated that just for the economic reforms with Renzi, another 335 implementing measures have been proposed again".

But the numbers brought by the Minister take into consideration all the overall activity of the Renzi government from the moment of its investiture until today: the implementation rate recorded is equal to 64,3%. Furthermore, a new initiative should start shortly thanks to funds from the European Union. The Monitor System will facilitate telematic contact between the Ministries which should further speed up the consultation and approval of the missing implementing decrees. Minister Boschi also reveals that 42,3% of the regulations approved by the Renzi government are self-applicable, i.e. they produce the desired effects without the need for further regulatory interventions. But along this road – admits the Minister – the government still has a lot to work on.
