Crif: business credit applications are down, -3%

According to the Crif Barometer, requests for loans from Italian companies decreased by 3% in March – Aggregate demand for the first three months of 2013 shows a growth of 0,97% compared to the same period of the previous year.

After the increases in the first two months of 2013, the number of loans requested by Italian companies is falling again, which fyear record a contraction of 3,08% yoy in March, calculated on the same working days. This was revealed by the Crif Barometer, which also specifies that, with the exception of December 2012, this figure is the first negative after 12 months of increases.

“Aggregate demand in the first three months of 2013 – reads the note – recorded an overall growth of +0,97% compared to the corresponding quarter of 2012”. The decrease in the month of March was above all determined by the figure for Individual Businesses, whose credit applications showed a drop of 9%. The average amount of loans requested in the first three months of the year stood at 63.187 euros.
