Slight rebound for consumption in the Eurozone. In fact, in October, sales achieved by the retail trade marked an increase of 0,4% from the previous month, after the heavy -1,2% recorded in September. This was revealed by Eurostat, according to which in the annual comparison sales grew by 1,4%.

Still on the consumption front, however, Confcommercio has raised the alarm regarding Italy: in 2014, consumption stood at the same level as in 1997. Compared to the 2007 peak, around two thousand euros per person (1.980 euros) have been eroded. expenditure, for an overall decrease of 12%. According to the association, consumption has stagnated in the last 5 months, and, in September, recorded a drop of 0,5% on an annual basis. 

Confcommercio's alarm also concerns real per capita income which, in 2013-2014, would even return to the levels of 1986. Since the peak of 2007, when income exceeded 20 euros, around 2.700 euros would have been lost , to reach 18.000.
