The first 126 entries in the Gold Buying Register were approved today by the Body of Financial Agents and Credit Brokers. Twelve more days for operators in the sector to complete the procedure and be able to proceed legally with carrying out their business.
In a note, the OAM recalls that the deadline for submitting applications is set for October XNUMX and that from the following day those who have not submitted the application will be required to suspend their activity and will be able to resume it only after having submitted the application of enrollment in the Register and following the declaration of acceptance by the OAM itself.
Applications for registration can only be submitted electronically and must contain a valid and active certified email address (PEC); a digital signature in the name of the applicant and a valid identification document. For companies, the registration must be presented by the legal representative. The attestation, issued by the territorially competent Police Headquarters, of the possession and continuing validity of the license must also be attached: it is therefore not sufficient to attach a copy of the license. The application must also be accompanied by a copy of the payment of the registration fee (according to Circular OAM 30/18) and the government concession fee, equal to 168 euros, to be paid to the Revenue Agency.
Once the application has been received, the OAM has 30 days to deliberate or deny enrolment, due to lack of the required requisites. It is envisaged that this term may be suspended only once, for a maximum duration of 15 days, should the Body need further documentation or information. The integration request will be sent to the certified e-mail address of the interested parties, who will have 15 days to respond. After this period, the terms of the procedure will start running again and, in case of non-fulfilment by the users of the Body's request, the application will be rejected.
