Starting from 8 March 2020, the Presidency of the Council adopted new measures to contain the COVID-19 epidemiological emergency in the so-called red areas and throughout the national territory.

Throughout Italy there is:

  • the suspension of demonstrations, events and shows of any kind, including cinematographic and theatrical ones, held in any place, both public and private;
  • the suspension of the public opening service of museums and other institutes and places of culture referred to in art. 101 of the cultural heritage and landscape code, pursuant to legislative decree 22 January 2004, n. 42 (thus including museums, archives, libraries, archaeological areas and parks).
