The Rai fee in the bill is working. Thanks to the new collection method, 2016 million in additional revenue was recovered in 500, a value equal to almost a quarter of the total revenue, which reached 2,1 billion euros.
The increase is all the more significant if one considers that last year the tax was cut from 113,5 to 100 euros. The reduction, however, continues this year as well, given that the Rai 2017 license fee amounts to 90 euros.
"This is one of the most effective demonstrations that everyone must be paid to pay less", commented Rossella Orlandi, head of the Revenue Agency, who this morning presented to the Treasury - in the presence of the Minister of Economy, Pier Carlo Padoan - the results achieved last year by the tax administration.
