Football betting: Palazzi, is the accusatory castle collapsing? Bonucci and Pepe towards acquittal

What if the Palazzi theorem were blatantly proving unfounded? After the particularly heavy disqualification requests inflicted on Juventus players Leonardo Bonucci and Simone Pepe (respectively 3 years and 6 months and one year, following the Bari line of inquiry, the team for which the two played at the time of the contested events), everything hinted at a level of responsibility by now ascertained, especially that of the defender.

Instead, the question would no longer seem so linear: the key fixture of the story is that of Udinese-Bari in May 2010 and it seems that the repentant Andrea Masiello, captain of the Apulians at the time, is no longer so credible with regard to that match. Precisely for this reason Leonardo Bonucci, assisted by Juventus lawyers Luigi Chiappero and Gian Pietro Bianchi, first of all avoided asking for a plea deal: "Partly out of principle and partly because he revised the possibility of taking the field in the six matches that the national team will play in the next three months. But above all in order not to contradict his own innocence declared in Bari and framed by the magistrate with the document dated 21 July which describes Bonucci as a witness and not as a suspect ”, explains Chiappero.

Palazzi then made an attempt to bring Bonucci to an admission of guilt by showing him the emergency exit of the declassification from illicit to omitted report, which would have led to a substantial reduction in the sentence, from 3 and a half years of referral to 3 months and 20 days negotiable. And at the same time, for the federal prosecutor, this would have meant the possibility of carrying out his accusation castle without problems.

Which instead now seems to waver: the figure of Masiello is in fact coming out resized, in the Udinese-Bari match-up, but morally also in the other matches subject to revelations, and this could clamorously open the doors of acquittal for Bonucci and Pepe. The word now passes to the Regulations, which will be pronounced between 8 and 10 August. Just on the eve of the Supercoppa match against Napoli, for which, however, coach Antonio Conte will most likely not be there: his position is in fact different and linked to another line of investigation (that of the Cremona prosecutor's office). For him the accusations are milder (only omitted complaint and not a sporting offense) but they seem more founded. The answer always from the Disciplinary, in one of the hottest Augusts in the history of Juventus (soccer city aside).
