Il Btp Value continues its unstoppable run. In the second day of placement, the government bond dedicated to small Italian savers, issued by the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF), has touched the threshold of 5 billion euros of orders (equal to 4,61 billion). Today alone, Tuesday 27 February, 165.636 contracts were signed.
But the real triumph was on the first day of launch, when the Btp Valore has shattered every record. With a total of 6,4 billion euros and over 210.000 contracts, the average contract reached 30.533 euros, with some acceptances even worth 3 million euros. This means that even the record of the first day of placement in June 2023 was surpassed, when orders for 5,43 billion were recorded on 185.146 contracts. If demand continues to remain strong, the Mef could evaluate the early closing of the operation on Wednesday. Otherwise, the placement will continue until 13pm on Friday 1st March.
Extra duration and final prize
The stock, placed on the Mot platform of the Italian Stock Exchange, will have a duration of 6 years. Investors who hold the stock to maturity will receive a extra final premium of 0,7%. An additional incentive for investors to hold the stock until its maturity.
In this issue of the BTP Valore, savers will be paid coupons quarterly based on pre-established rates increasing over time, with a minimum guaranteed rate of 3,25% for the first three years and 4% for the subsequent years. At the end of the placement, the definitive coupon rates will be announced, which could be confirmed or revised upwards, based on market conditions at the closing of the issue.
La preferential taxation of 12,5% applies to coupons and loyalty bonuses. Furthermore, the stock is not subject to inheritance taxes and there are no bank fees for investors who purchase it during issuance. According to the budget law for 2024, the BTP Valore is excluded from the calculation of the ISEE after the completion of the planned measures.

The minimum denomination for each order is 1.000 euros, with the guarantee of obtaining the requested amount. During the placement days, the BTP Valore can be purchased without commissions at the price of 100 euros. Subsequently, on the secondary market, the price will be determined by the normal supply and demand mechanism.
