He claims it German Finance Minister Wolfgang Schaeuble, underlining however that "it is the British government that must make its decisions" on the matter. The clarification comes in the aftermath of the British vote, which dealt a severe blow to Prime Minister Theresa May and her hard line on Brexit.
Meanwhile in London a government agreement was reached "in broad terms" between the Tories and the Northern Irish unionists of the Dup: according to a Westminster source quoted by the BBC, however, it will take at least another 36 hours to define the details and finally allow May to present her own executive.
