6-month bot, yield still negative: -0,05%

All the six billion offered by the Treasury were placed this morning, with a request that came close to 10 billion – The rate remained negative and equal to -0,05%, compared to -0,042% in the previous auction.

The Bank of Italy communicated that in today's Bot auction with a six-monthly maturity (September 30, 2016) all the securities offered by the Ministry of the Economy and Finance were placed: the total amount was 6 billion euro.

Demand was good, as the BOTs requested amounted to over €9,7 billion, which equates to a coverage ratio (amount of securities requested to securities offered) of 1,62, albeit down on the '1,74 at the end of February auction. The gross yield of the allotment is remained negative and equal to -0,05%, compared to -0,042% in last month's 100,025-month Bot auction. The clearing price was set at XNUMX.
