Bags: Europe in deep red

Banks, energy and insurance are the most penalized sectors in all of Europe - At the bottom of the Ftse Mib travel Saipem (-4,97%), Unipol (-4,38%), Banco Popolare (-4,28%), Ubi Banca (-4,19%) and Banca Pop Milano (-3,99%).

The week of the European Stock Exchanges starts very badly. In mid-morning, selling on continental stock lists intensified, showing declines of between 1% and 2%. While London recorded the smallest decrease (-1,24%), Milano e Madrid they are the worst and drop by 2,05% and 2,09% respectively. Paris e Frankfurt down by 1,8%. Banks, energy and insurance are the most penalized sectors throughout Europe.

The performance of the price lists has not been shaken by the publication of theIfo index, which measures German business confidence in September: the survey showed an improvement to 109,5 points higher than analysts' forecasts.

In Piazza Affari only Recordati goes against the trend (+0,9%) among the forty stocks of the main index.

It also holds Italcementi in the last week available for participation in the takeover bid launched by HeidelbergCement. Based on Friday's official data, the offer, promoted on 55% of the Italian group, attracted support equal to 15,8% of the shares involved in the takeover bid.
