Stock Exchange: Terna and Snam are running on rumors of canceling the Robin Hood Tax

The rumor that the Robin Hood Tax would be canceled pushes up the shares of the two companies, which also collect the promotion of Citigroup analysts.

In Piazza Affari the spotlights are on Terna and Snam, which record increases of more than 3% in the mid-morning, signaling themselves as the most brilliant stocks on the Italian list, which in the same minutes travels just below parity. Trading volumes for both securities are above average.

Two factors mainly contribute to pushing the prices of the two utilities: the first is the indiscretion according to which the Constitutional Court has canceled the Robin Hood Tax, the additional IRES that weighs on the energy and utility sectors; the second is the promotion by Citigroup, which has raised the recommendation to Buy on both stocks.

Indeed, according to analysts of the American broker, the news of the cancellation of the Robin Hood Tax, if confirmed, would be a boon for the utility sector, "with an average impact on EPS of 5%, but with peaks of 10% for Snam and triad".
