The Mondadori Editore share fell sharply at Piazza Affari: the shares lost 7%, dangerously approaching the euro threshold, at 1,064. The knockout comes after the publishing group announced that it placed 12,6% of the share capital on the market at a price per share of 1,06 euro. The value of Mondadori shares, therefore, immediately aligns with the placement price.
Mondadori raised 31,75 million euros from the flash placement, announced yesterday evening, of just under 30 million newly issued shares (6,09% of existing capital) and treasury shares (6,07%). The unit price of the securities had been set at 1,06 euro.
