The Government has confirmed also for 2019 the culture bonus for 18-year-olds. This was communicated by the Minister for Cultural Heritage and Activities, Alberto Bonisoli, in a note.
The holder of the Miur has signed the implementing decree which extends the bonus to those who have turned or will turn 18 in 2018, i.e. to born in 2000. The measure will become operational when the provision is published in the Official Gazette.
The Culture Bonus has received a favorable opinion from the Council of State and the go-ahead from the Guarantor for the protection of personal data.
BONUS CULTURE: WHAT IT IS
The Culture Bonus is a sort of electronic piggy bank intended for young eighteen-year-olds and aimed at increasing their knowledge. It was invented by the Renzi government and can be used to buy books, cinema tickets, concerts, exhibitions and events, etc.
In order to take advantage of the incentive, precise rules must be followed and certain limits must be respected. There is still no certain information on the amount or on the changes made by the new government, but in the event that the figure previously in force should be confirmed, also in 2019 there will be available 500 euro.
BONUS CULTURE: HOW IT WORKS
Starting from the day following the publication in the Official Gazette, young people who already have SPID, the Public Digital Identity System, will have the opportunity to register on the operating platform 18 app. Registration must be completed by 30 June 2019, while the credit available with the bonus can be spent by 31 December 2019.
As mentioned, young people who have turned or will turn eighteen from 1 January to 31 December 2018 will be able to take advantage of the incentive.

BONUS CULTURE: HOW TO SPEND MONEY
This is how it worked until last year. Once you have accessed the web application prepared by the Government, you can check the price of the product to be purchased and generate a voucher for the same amount.
