Berlusconi-Tremonti: it's a truce. The two-hour face-to-face was positive

Today's meeting between Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi and Economy Minister Giulio Tremonti was positive. A Treasury source told the Reuters agency, commenting on the outcome of the expected first two-hour face-to-face meeting today at Palazzo Grazioli after the violent controversies following the vote on Marco Milanese deputy, in which Tremonti's absence was been judged "immoral" by Berlusconi himself.

"It was an excellent meeting, very positive," the source told the agency. “Tomorrow a construction site opens and two measures are being studied: one on infrastructure and another on simplifications”, she added. The source also said that the third meeting tomorrow at the Treasury between Tremonti and the representatives of companies, banks and social partners will also be attended by the Undersecretary to the Prime Minister Gianni Letta who was present today at the face-to-face meeting at Palazzo Grazioli, while Berlusconi will be present at the Treasury seminar on real estate divestments scheduled for Thursday.
