Bentivogli and the union in the Industry 4.0 era

On Monday 4 July at 14.45 pm at the Residenza di Ripetta, in Via di Ripetta 231 in Rome, the first public initiative will be held to present the book by Marco Bentivogli (Fim Cisl general secretary) entitled “Have we ruined Italy? Because you can't do without the union”, published by Castelvecchi.

It will be an opportunity for a debate on the subject of trade unions, and more generally of representation, in the changing world of work, that of Industry 4.0, the Fourth Industrial Revolution, in which new technologies integrate and organizational models change, that in which labor maps are redesigned in the light of innovative industrial and social processes.

Bentivogli, starting from these ideas and from a sincere criticism of the limits that the union has had when it has not been able to anticipate the changes, without ever forgetting at the same time the important role played especially during the crisis, will discuss with Carlo Dell'Aringa and Irene Tinagli, deputies and economists, with the sociologist Bruno Manghi, who edited the preface of the book and with the entrepreneur Franco Bernabè. The debate will be coordinated by Il Foglio journalist Stefano Cingolani.
