ECB, Draghi: "Low rates do not create risks"

At present, low interest rates do not jeopardize price stability. To say it is the president of the ECB Mario Draghi who admitted, however, that in the long term it is a risk that must be assessed. The ECB's concerns, right now, are due to weakness and not to excess inflation: "Our mandate - declared Draghi - is symmetrical: price stability works in both directions".

The president of the ECB, speaking at a conference in Frankfurt, then moved on to assessing the progress of the Eurozone in the last year, defining it as "significant", despite the fact that there are still "significant challenges" to be faced. On the other hand, as regards the expected stress test on banks, in view of the single supervision, the ECB, together with the EBA, will announce the key parameters of the analysis at the end of January.
