World Bank cuts Asia growth forecasts

The World Bank cut its 2015 growth forecast for the US economy'East Asia and China, emphasizing the “significant” risks stemming from global uncertainties including the strengthening dollar and rising US interest rates.
The Washington institute expects East Asia and Pacific (EAP), which includes China, to grow 6,7% in both 2015 and 2016, down from 6,9% in 2014.

The new estimate is revised downwards from the previous October forecast for growth of 6,9% this year and 6,8% in 2016.
According to the World Bank, the basis for the slowdown in Chinese growth is stabilization policies aimed at putting the economy on more sustainable foundations and making it less vulnerable to financial trends.
In particular, according to the updated forecasts, the growth of the Chinese economy is expected to slow down to a rate of 7,1% in 2015 and 7% in 2016 from 7,4% in 2014, compared to the previous estimate of, respectively, +7,2 .7,1% and +XNUMX%.
