Banca Ifis buys over 500 million Npl from Unicredit

The institute has acquired a total of four portfolios, for a total of 600 million and over 27.500 positions - The most significant (537 million euros, over 20 positions) was sold by Unicredit

Ifis Npl, of the Banca Ifis group, has acquired four portfolios of non-performing loans from Unicredit and three other players. The institute communicates it in a note, specifying that the total nominal value of non-performing loans is equal to 600 million euros, for a total of over 27.500 positions.

It should also be noted that these are credits purchased mainly on the primary market, especially unsecured. With this transaction, the proprietary portfolio of Ifis Npl amounts to over 13,4 billion euro (nominal value), for a total number of positions equal to over 1,5 million.

In detail, the note explains, the most significant portfolio purchased by Ifis Npl, of the mixed banking type, equal to a nominal value of 537 million euro (over 20.000 positions), was sold by Unicredit and is made up as follows: current accounts (42%), personal loans (30%), other (28%).

The second purchase, equal to a nominal value of 25,3 million euro, is attributable to the consumer unsecured primary market and is part of the forward flow contract with one of the main Italian consumer credit companies. It is made up of 75% personal loans and 25% revolving and credit card loans, totaling more than 3.600 positions.

Also belonging to the primary consumer credit market is the portfolio sold to IFis Npl by Carrefour Banca amounting to 16,5 million euros (nominal value) and corresponding to around 3.100 positions, mainly made up of credit cards (48%) and loans personal (50%).

Finally, the last purchase transaction concerns a portfolio sold to Ifis Npl - on the unsecured banking secondary market - by an Italian company active in the evaluation of the purchase of pecuniary receivables due from bankruptcy proceedings, equal to 12,4 million euros of nominal value (823 positions), to corporate (60%) and retail (40%) customers.
