In the first half of the year, net inflows from assets under management were positive by €1,367 billion, an improvement over the same period last year (+€1,19 billion)

General Bank closed the month of June and with a net collection positive for 509 million euro, up both on May (when the increase was 405 million) and on June last year (+407 million). The credit institution communicates it in a note, specifying that year to date net inflows show a positive result of 2,816 billion, substantially in line with the result achieved in the same period of 2019, when the increase in managed assets amounted to 2,838 billion.

Going back to funding in June 2020, investments were concentrated above all "on managed and administered savings solutions with the use of liquidity collected in previous months", continues the note from Banca Generali.

All the investment instruments offered by the institute – from funds and Sicavs to portfolio management, passing through insurance solutions – recorded a positive net balance, “confirming the attention to the diversification and personalization of the service”, continues the press release.

In detail, always in June net inflows from managed savings was positive for 491 million (a clear increase compared to the previous month, when the increase had amounted to 330 million euro), bringing the result for the entire first half to +1,367 billion, an improvement compared to the January-June period of 2019, which closed with an increase in volumes of 1,19 billion euro.

"The recovery of the markets in the second quarter brought savers closer to managed solutions with growing attention to diversification by subject area and the protective component offered by insurance investment containers", commented the CEO of Banca Generali, Gian Maria Mossa, adding that the signals received in the first part of July give "great confidence and optimism about the ability, even in a difficult economic context like the current one, to continue to grow also in the second part of the year", concludes the note.
