Company Description

Nestlé SA (Société des Produits Nestlé SA) is a Swiss multinational company operating in the food sector. It produces, distributes and sells all types of foodstuffs: water, snacks, dairy products, biscuits, frozen foods, homogenized foods, beverages, animal feed, etc.

Nestlé is the world's largest multinational company active in the food sector and among the largest companies by turnover. The head office is in Vevey, Switzerland.

The group owns 447 factories and is present in over 86 countries. It has approximately 333.000 employees. Every day, more than 1 billion products are sold under the Nestlé brand.

The birth of Nestlé takes place in 1866 when the pharmacist Henri Nestlé developed a food for infants who had intolerance to breastfeeding.

In 1905 the company merged with the Anglo-Swiss Condensed Milk Company, taking the name Nestlé and Anglo-Swiss Condensed Milk Company. It begins to grow significantly in Europe and the United States.
