Sometimes foreign companies open in Italy. It happens to the Swiss multinational Nestle who identified a Mantova the ideal site to build yours new factory of wet pet food production, with a total investment of 472 million euros.
This was announced by the Minister of Business and Made in Italy, Adolfo Urso, after having met, at Palazzo Piacentini, Marco Travaglia, president and managing director of Nestlé Italy. As specified in a note from Mimit, the project, considered strategic for the CAIE, the inter-ministerial committee for attracting foreign investments, also includes a new logistics hub. The decision to open a new plant "recognizes the strategic role of Italy for Nestlé in this rapidly developing sector", said Travaglia.
300 new jobs are expected. Strong stimulus also for related industries
In the industrial area Valdaro, in Mantua, the investments would concern aarea of approximately 180.000 metres paintings and 300 new jobsbeyond to the related industries. The impacts will also be relevant for the agricultural supply chain: an estimated 50 million euros per year for the agricultural products and 30 million euros per year for packaging and industrial services. The completion of the plant is expected by 2027.
