L'Oréal is a French company that operates in the cosmetics sector.

It is based in Clichy, near Paris.

L'Oréal is the main leader and the first company by turnover in the beauty and cosmetics sector.

The group is present in over 130 countries. Its products are marketed through large-scale distribution, e-commerce, hairdressers, pharmacies, supermarkets and select shops. It sells skincare, hair care products, make-up products, colouring, perfumes and accessories and more.

It has 40 production sites worldwide and approximately 88.000 employees of which 25% work in France.

The L'Oréal group is divided into 4 operating divisions: professional products, products for the general public, luxury products and active cosmetics.
