Arvedi in the running for Ilva, expression of interest filed

The Cremona company would represent a guarantee of Italian spirit for the future of Ilva, with the support, however, of foreign funds. Jindal's Indians remain on track

Arvedi in the running for Ilva, expression of interest filed

The Arvedi group aims at Ilva. In recent days, in fact, the Cremona-based group has filed an expression of interest for the assets of the group, which is still formally owned by the Riva family, and already in the next few days some meetings should be held in Taranto to better assess the situation.

Arvedi, whose initiative is not connected to that of the ArcelorMittal-Marcegaglia consortium, had already expressed his willingness to participate in the normalization of the steel group, considered indispensable, and would have the support of foreign capital and funds behind him.

In fact, the Italian character represented by Arvedi will need to be accompanied by the capital guarantees of these groups, including, in the foreground, Jindal South West as well as various investment funds. In this phase, various elements also play in favor of Arvedi: the good relations with the Riva family, the know-how of the sector and the industrial solidity of the group.
