All ready for the launch of domestic energy. Word of Anie, the Confindustria association of electrotechnical and electronic companies. These are battery storages of energy produced with green sources, not only with large systems connected to the generation distribution networks but, also and above all, with microsystems to be installed directly in houses or condominiums.
Their mass distribution could increase the self-consumption of photovoltaic energy “from 30 to 70%, resulting in considerable savings for the owners of beneficial systems relevant to the electricity system”. Benefits that Anie estimates at "over 500 million euros a year".
The Anie is clear enough. The equivalent of the 500 million euros of estimated benefit for the national electricity system could be used for a package of incentives which would thus be self-financing, without weighing on the state's ruined coffers. Because if for photovoltaic panels the past system of incentives has not allowed the creation of a true national industry of equipment, in accumulation systems (batteries, inverters, control electronics) Italy is already in a rather good position "with producers of international level".
How to package these incentives? The first step, according to Anie, could meanwhile be to extend the current tax benefits reserved for the installation of more energy efficient equipment to domestic accumulation systems.
