Brazil is in the crosshairs. Amplifon aims to make acquisitions in the Latin American country and in other emerging markets. This was assured by Franco Moscetti, managing director of the hearing aid manufacturer.

“You can expect some new developments this year”, Moscetti explained to journalists during a working lunch, adding that in any case the company's priority remains that of growing in the markets where it is already present, such as France and Germany, by increasing its critical mass.

The manager added that the results of the last quarter of last year were "very good" and "better than expected" and that the start of the first quarter of the new year is positive. The consensus of analysts' estimates, communicated by the company, indicates for 2013 revenues of 826 million euros and an Ebitda of 115 million. Moscetti specified that during the fourth quarter of 2013 the American markets and the Asia Pacific area had "robust" growth and that Europe showed signs of improvement.

In Piazza Affari, the stock gains 0,20% around 16.30 pm, to 4,048 euros.
