Advertising on iPhone? Italy likes it: it is the country of mobile advertising

According to research by Nielsen, Italy is the country in Europe with the highest percentage of smartphone owners (25 million, of which 16 connected to the internet) and where more often, even via tablets, people click on advertised products to get information and buy them online – 81% of tablet owners download apps for shopping.

Other than the usual annoying ads that end up in the trash or junk mail. Apparently, according to research conducted by Nielsen, those that arrive on tablets or smartphones do not bother users at all. On the contrary, they really like them: especially the Italians; enough for the Germans and English too, less for the Americans.

And if you think that in Italy there is the highest penetration of iPhones and the like in Europe (50% of those who own a mobile phone, i.e. 25 million people, of which 16 million access the internet), and that the diffusion of tablets is also growing exponentially, here is where mobile advertising presents itself as the advertising of the future.

According to Nielsen's research, in fact, in Italy more than elsewhere the viewing of an advertisement on mobile devices is in percentage terms very often related to purchases or in any case to insights into the promoted product: it is the country where owners of smartphones and tablets are most likely to click on an advertisement and seek more information on an advertised product.

And where more users equip themselves to be able to make the online purchase directly: shopping applications are popular among 81% of those who download apps from tablets and 17% of those who download apps from smartphones, especially among smartphones with Apple's Android or iOS operating system (among others, they are only 5% widespread).

Considering that in Italy there are 9 million people who download applications and 6 million users who own a device equipped with Android or iOS, the game is easily done.
