Areti – Acea group company that operates in the electricity distribution sector – e csr (Ricerca Sistema Energetico) have renewed a collaboration agreement for the evolution of electrical infrastructure aimed at an increasingly rapid and complete modernization of networks, in line with the decarbonisation objectives set by the 2030 Agenda.

The agreement will have a three-year duration and will allow the research and innovation activities launched within the European project “Plato” to continue and to be deepened, currently being implemented on an experimental basis in some districts of the city of Rome. In this context, Rse will develop the methodologies for monitoring the impact of the smart charging of electric vehicles on the networks, as well as the regulatory and economic sustainability framework, developing appropriate technical-economic indicators.

"The evolution towards electric mobility is a path that Italy will have to face with conviction", he commented Maurice Delfanti CEO of RSE. And that the agreement with the Acea group company has the purpose of "identifying technological solutions compatible with the operational, innovation and sustainability needs of the network", concluded Delfanti.

"The collaboration will allow us to accelerate the achievement of the expected results for the benefit of Roman citizens and the national electricity system," he said Massimo Bonato, CEO of Areti.

Furthermore, the agreement also expands the portfolio of strategic activities on which the two companies will be able to work synergistically both nationally and internationally. This collaboration is part of the global Mission Innovation initiative which sees Italy, and in particular Rse and Areti, supporting the Ministry for Ecological Transition in the definition and implementation of projects related to research and innovation activities of the "Green Powered Future Mission" to lead Italy, China and the United Kingdom.
