This year, 1,43 million more retirees will receive fourteenth pay in July. The news, INPS informs, is the effect of the new rules introduced with the latest budget law.
In all, this year 3,57 million pensioners will collect their fourteenth salary (against 2,14 million in 2016) for a total expenditure of 1,7 billion (compared to 854,7 million last year).
The INPS recalls that the fourteenth is paid to pensioners aged 64 or over and with a total individual income up to a maximum of 2 times the minimum annual treatment of the employee pension fund.
With the latest Budget law, the amount of the fourteenth salary has been increased for beneficiaries with a pension up to 1,5 times the minimum treatment (i.e. 9.786,86 euros per year for 2017) and the benefit has been extended to pensioners with checks between 1,5 and 2 times the minimum treatment (i.e. up to €13.049,14).
