A consortium of municipalities in a single large Renewable Energy Community (CER), capable of bringing together public and private partners to relaunch the many villages that have enormous development potential unexpressed that otherwise risk being progressively abandoned by the new generations. This is the formula adopted by a good number of municipalities in Alta Sabina in Lazio to exploit all the advantages of the Renewable Energy Communities. We start these days after having concluded the entire constitutive process of the Cer by aggregating a good number of members in an attempt to return within the times (expiring) of the current incentive regime to get in the running for the new public benefits that will come.
Based on the current incentive discipline also driven by the Pnrr, those who are part of the new Cer will be able to install their photovoltaic system with a 40% non-repayable contribution, ensuring a double tariff advantage: the significant discount on energy withdrawn from the grid and compensations on the bill for the energy produced is shared within the energy community. But even those who are not equipped with a renewable energy system can join the Cer, enjoying the tariff advantages guaranteed by the energy exchanged within the territory with a significant cut in bills.
Born from an initial initiative of the administration and residents of Rocca Sinibalda, a village a few steps from Rieti overlooked by a medieval castle which is a national monument, the Alta Sabina Renewable Energy Community has already brought together around ten municipalities, involving among others Colle di Tora, Longone, Poggio Moiano, Poggio San Lorenzo, Varco Sabino. Partners many local companies but also giants such as Enel X Way (the diffusion of charging stations for electric vehicles is one of the main planned interventions) and Vodafone (a solid telecommunications system is essential for the new development prospects of the territory) are behind the initiative.

"A Cer - Lo Re underlines - allows us to transform the way we consume energy: we are no longer just passive users, but protagonists of a local network in which energy is produced close to those who use it, with economic and environmental benefits for families, businesses and public services”.
