d'Amico International Shipping strengthens its fleet with the purchase of MT High Discovery, tanker for the transport of petroleum products. The controlled by d'Amico Tankers has in fact exercised the option provided for in the charter contract and will purchase the vessel for about 15,3 million of dollars.
The High Discovery, built in 2014 in South Korea by Hyundai Mipo Dockyard, has a capacity of 50 tons. The acquisition is expected to become effective onearly November 2026, with a possible small price adjustment based on the delivery date.
The transaction allows d'Amico to regain full ownership of a vessel it had sold in 2022 as part of a sale and leaseback transaction, thus continuing its process of strengthening its fleet and reducing financial costs.

DIS's fleet currently comprises 28 double-hulled product tankers, 26 of which are owned and two are bareboat chartered. The vessels, including MR, Handysize, and LR1, have an average age of approximately 10 years.
