Objectives and actions defined in terms of the environment, quality and people - Green light also for tenders relating to maintenance work and new works for 77,8 million euros

Acquedotto Pugliese approves the 2022-2024 sustainability plan

Acquedotto Pugliese has approved the sustainability plan for the three-year period 2022-2024, which aims at achieving the United Nations sustainable development goals. The Board also approved tenders for 77,8 million. This is the framework agreement for the surveillance , maintenance of the primary adduction network (basic auction value of 64,5 million) and of the framework agreement for the management of sewage works and maintenance in the city of Bari (basic auction value of 13,3 million).

Among the most significant objectives are those aimed at guaranteeing the increase in production of electric energy, the sustainable management of the resource, the reduction of the company's environmental footprint, the creation of circular processes through new innovative systems for waste management, the raising of the quality of customer service also through technological innovation and the improvement of the landscape insertion of the works. 

On the subject of attention to people, the objective of encouraging welfare and wellbeing policies to improve the quality of life, health and well-being of employees and sustainable mobility aimed at reducing the environmental, social and economic impacts generated by private vehicles is significant.

In reference to races, the framework agreement for the surveillance and maintenance of the primary supply network (64,5 million) provides for technical surveillance, prompt intervention and minor maintenance activities, as well as the assignment of extraordinary and breakdown maintenance work. Among the planned interventions, those aimed at improving the efficiency and safety of the works, as well as underground renovation works, inside the tunnels of the Main Canal and the Aqp Pass tunnel.

As regards the framework agreement for the conduct of sewage works and maintenance on the city ​​of Bari (13,3 million), the following are also envisaged: continuous verification, sanitation, unblocking and cleaning services (24 hours a day) of the sewage works, including emergency services, aimed at guaranteeing the perfect and regular functioning of the works, as well as maintenance work , programmed and faulty, even in emergency, of the water and sewage networks. This agreement is added to the tender procedure being defined for the management of sewage works and maintenance of the networks, divided into 14 lots, for an amount of 240 million euro.
