730 pre-compiled: extension in sight from 7 to 23 July

A resolution unanimously approved by the Finance Committee of the Chamber postpones the term in a structural way – By April it could be official with a decree from the Prime Minister.

730 pre-compiled: extension in sight from 7 to 23 July

It could be postponed by two weeks, 7 from July to 23, the deadline within which to return the pre-compiled 730 form to the Revenue Agency, with or without modifications. Not only that: the extension could become structural.

The initiative belongs to the Pd deputy Franco Ribaudo, who presented a resolution on the issue to the House Finance Committee, where the provision was unanimously approved. “Given the consensus – said Ribaudo – we asked a decree of the President of the Council of Ministers”, which could come By the end of April and thus formalize the extension.

"With the approval of the resolution which provides for the extension for the presentation of 730 of 2016 - added the deputy Pd -, we consolidate the process of transparency and functioning of the mechanism of declarations by taxpayers, allowing in the meantime to respect the timing of data transmission and the execution of refunds".

In detail – based on the resolution -, tax payers, withholding agents and qualified professionals (employment consultants, chartered accountants, bookkeepers or commercial experts) they will have until July 23rd, and not at 7 as previously, to present the pre-compiled 730. THE CafInstead, they will have to broadcast 80% of models by July 7th (to allow the Revenue Agency to process the data) e the remainder by 23 July.

This would avoid the confusion of 2015, when the postponement for Cafs was confirmed just a week before the deadline and then extended to taxpayers as well. “Last year – Ribaudo recalled – the extension worked and did not jeopardize the refunds. This is why it seems feasible to us make the postponement of the deadline to 23 July structural".

However, the other two dates to remember do not change:

- from 15th April each taxpayer will find their own pre-compiled 730 form on the website of the Revenue Agency;

- from 2th April all authorized subjects (Caf, withholding agents, professionals and individual taxpayers) will be able to resubmit the pre-compiled 730 forms to the Revenue Agency with or without modifications.
