Agreement made between Whirlpool and Fim, Fiom and Uilm on an industrial level with which the American multinational will relaunch the Italian production of the former Indesit sites.

The agreement, signed at the end of a new round at the Mise, closes a standoff between the company and the unions over 5 months, avoid the risk of dismissal for the over 2.000 workers of the group, it reabsorbs all the redundancies initially foreseen, saves the Carinaro and None sites from closure, assigns each plant a production mission and above all foresees investments of 513 million over three years.

On Friday the agreement will be submitted to the vote of all the workers of the group. The commitment not to fire until 2018 is accompanied by a redundancy plan and incentive transfers, relocation and professional retraining for employees whose functions are transferred to another region; atuse of layoffs and solidarity contracts.
