Ten days of tastings, one hundred and nineteen wineries and 310 labels will give life to the 32nd edition of Italy and abroad Welcome Brunello, scheduled from 17 to 28 November.
We leave on 17 and 18 November from Montalcino to also land in nine international cities, first in London on November 21st and then at the same time in New York, Dallas, Miami, Toronto, Vancouver, Zurich, Shanghai and Tokyo November 28th At the baptism in the glasses of the preview, the Brunello 2019 and the Riserva 2018 joined in the tasting by the Rosso di Montalcino 2022 and the other two wines of the denomination, Moscadello and Sant'Antimo.
It starts on 17 and 18 November with the usual weekend dedicated to the national and international press. I'm beyond that 70 sector and non-selected Italian and foreign journalists from the United States, Canada, South Korea, Brazil and Israel while England, Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Holland represented the European territory.
Added to these are the approximately 20 operators including journalists, wine experts, buyers and foreign wine educators identified by the special incoming activity in collaboration with the Vinitaly International Academy. During the inaugural weekend there will also be space for the presentation of the 2023 agronomic year and theassignment of the 32nd Leccio d'Oro prize, scheduled for Saturday 18 November (Teatro degli Astrusi, 11am). This was followed on the same day by the installation of the traditional celebratory tile dedicated to this year's harvest on the edge of the Town Hall. Sunday 19th November is the start date of the tastings for sector operators to which another 6 days are also dedicated (from 20th to 22nd November and from 25th to 27th November). They are then scheduled to meet on November 20th for the evaluation of the new vintages, while the last weekend of November (from the 25th to the 27th) is reserved for wine enthusiasts. Finally, the Benvenuto Brunello program concludes with the tour around the world of Brunello Day scheduled for Monday 28 November, anticipated by the London date of 21 November.
