In the wake of the excellent performance of the Vodafone group on a global level, Vodafone Italia also closes the six-month period on 30 September in a significant manner. Not so much in terms of revenues from services, which indeed recorded a drop of 13% compared to the same period of the previous year and dropped to 2,66 billion euros. However, the drop in revenues slowed down quarter on quarter: -16,1% in the first quarter, -9,7% in the second quarter.

On the other hand, the consumption of data by customers is growing strongly (+80%), with the number of smartphones and tablets on the Vodafone network reaching 11,2 million (+16,9% year on year). Fixed network revenues amounted to 433 million (+1,7% year on year), with 2,41 million customers reached, of which 1,84 million ADSL customers (+7,2%).

In the first half, EBITDA stood at 979 million, equal to 33,4% of total revenues. Meanwhile, "the upgrading and extension of the 4G mobile network and fiber optics is proceeding at a sustained pace with the Spring plan, which envisages an investment of 3,6 billion euros over two years".
