Venizelos, Greece towards new elections

The leader of the socialist party Evangelos Venizelos declared it on the sidelines of the meeting with the President of the Republic Papoulias – Tomorrow at 13.00 the new transitional government will be decided.

Nothing to do. The agreement between the Greek political forces has not been found and Athens is moving towards new elections. This was stated by the former Finance Minister, now leader of the sociallist Pasok party, Evangelos Venizelos at the end of the meeting between the country's main parties and the President of the Republic, Karolos Papoulias. "Now there is hope for a more mature vote," he added.  

Also Fotis Kouvelis, the leader of the Democratic Left party about to ally with the Syriza radicals, he confirmed that there was no agreement between the political forces saying he did not want to back down on his proposal to maintain collective agreements.

Tomorrow at 13.00 the leaders of the three parties will meet the head of state again for decide the prime minister and the transitional government until new electionsscheduled between 10 and 17 June.
