In the United States, workers' incomes grew by 0,2% in May and personal consumption expenditures remained unchanged for the first time in the last six months.
The data is in line with analysts' expectations. The savings rate rises to 3,9% from 3,7% the previous month. The government then released May data on the price index for personal consumption products (pce) which marked a 1,5% year-on-year rise, the smallest trend increase since January 2011. On a monthly basis l The index is down by 0,2%, the weakest performance for nearly two years.
