Thanks to the agreement between Unioncamere and Banca del Mezzogiorno-Mediocredito Centrale the territorial network "Contact points on credit and guarantees" was born to provide information and support services to micro, small and medium-sized enterprises, especially as regards the guarantee fund for SMEs.
In fact, the use of the Fund still has ample room for growth: the goal of the network is to disseminate widespread information to increase awareness of the opportunities offered by the public guarantee and reduce the difficulties of accessing credit for smaller businesses.
“The Guarantee Fund – declared the President of Unioncamere Ferruccio Dardanello – is an essential tool to accompany SMEs in their growth needs. But the fact that an effective tool is available to companies is not sufficient if it is not accompanied by widespread knowledge of it. The widespread presence of the Chamber of Commerce system in the area makes it a fundamental hub for bridging an information gap that can penalize the entrepreneurial system. The collaboration with Banca del Mezzogiorno-Mediocredito Centrale is therefore a very important element in relaunching the Chamber of Commerce system in its all-round commitment aimed at facilitating access to credit for SMEs”.
