Unioncamere, conference “Airports. Minors who?” today in Rome

Only 31 of the 46 commercial airports are considered "of national interest" in Italy: this is the theme of the conference organized on April 18 by Unioncamere in Rome, from 10.30 to 13 in Piazza Sallustio 21 - concludes the Deputy Minister for Economic Development and Infrastructure, Mario Ciaccia.

Unioncamere, conference “Airports. Minors who?” today in Rome

Only 31 of the 46 commercial airports, after the Guidelines for the definition of the National Airport Development Plan launched last January, are considered "of national interest". For "minor" airports, therefore, an uphill path has opened up that could lead to a redefinition of the country's airport geography.

But are these structures only a source of costs or are they also a driving force for the economies of many territories? Some of the leading experts in the sector will discuss this topic in the context of the conference organized by Unioncamere and Capo Horn in Rome on 18 April, also drawing inspiration from the results of an analysis carried out with the support of Uniontrasporti.

The meeting, introduced by the President of Unioncamere, Ferruccio Dardanello, was attended by: Antonio Paoletti, president of Uniontrasporti; Stefano Paleari, Rector of the University of Bergamo and Director of Iccsai-International center for competitiveness studies in the aviation industry; Fulvio Cavalleri, vice president of Assaeroporti; Pierluigi Di Palma, president of the Demetra Study Centre; Mario Fagotti, president of Perugia airport and president of the Commission for minor airports in Assaeroporti; Alessio Quaranta, director general ENAC; Sergio Vetrella, Conference of Regions and Autonomous Provinces. Concludes the Deputy Minister for Economic Development and Infrastructure, Mario Ciaccia.
