Unioncamere: Sisprint is underway, a project for the territories

SISPRINT – Integrated Support System for the Planning of Territorial Interventions – has the objective of strengthening the capacity of local administrations in planning development projects consistent with the real needs of businesses and with an impact on the territories.

Strengthen the capacity of local administrations in planning development projects consistent with the real needs of businesses and with an impact on the territories. This is the objective of the SISPRINT project - Integrated Support System for the Planning of Territorial Interventions, eligible for funding under the PON Governance and Institutional Capacity 2014-2020 and made fully operational through the signing yesterday of an agreement between the Agency for Territorial cohesion and Unioncamere.

The initiative is part of the process of change and reform in which the public administrations are committed to supporting the development of the competitiveness of the economic-productive system and the growth of the country. Over the next few years, SISPRINT will involve a team of experts from the agencies of the Chamber system and, when fully operational, 20 Chambers of Commerce throughout the national territory.

"With the SISPRINT project, the chamber system makes available to local administrations the extraordinary amount of information on the company and the territories contained in the Business Register, but also the natural proximity and ability to dialogue with the entrepreneurial fabric of the Chambers of Commerce ”, comments the president of Unioncamere, Ivan Lo Bello. "By operating in close coordination with the Territorial Cohesion Agency, we would like to make the implementation of interventions and development projects useful for businesses and citizens easier and more effective".

This initiative will also make available to the local Administrations an operational tool useful for developing a planning more responsive to the concrete needs of business development and competitiveness. This tool will enhance the wealth of economic data from the Chambers of Commerce Register of Companies by integrating it with the information available to the Territorial Cohesion Agency.

“An initiative that not only meets the needs of the economic and productive fabric but fully responds to the needs of the Administrations involved in implementing the Programs to trigger quality planning. A planning that interprets the dynamics of development, growth and competitiveness – supported by the cohesion policy – according to the characteristics of the various territories and which is an impetus for the implementation of the set of interventions envisaged at the local level. Fundamental in this process - underlines the Director General of the Agency for Territorial Cohesion, Maria Ludovica Agrò - will be the continuous and structured participation of the partnership".

The Chambers of Commerce will participate in the initiative as "intelligent antennas", which will have the task of realizing local initiatives of animation and listening to the territory, involving all the economic and social components.
