Unicredit Save4you: financial education for conscious savings

Unicredit has launched Save4you, a project by financial education on the topics of savings and investment education, aimed at supporting citizens in making informed choices by increasing their financial knowledge and, in particular, at supporting the awareness of millennials on the creation of savings.

The first appointment took place yesterday, in live streaming from the Unicredit Tower Hall in Milan, and involved 109 branches activated simultaneously throughout Italy and over three thousand subscribers.

The first lesson of the course, managed by Taxi 1729 – a company specializing in training and scientific communication – had as its central theme behavioral economics: through games, experiments and interactions with the participants, it was analyzed how economic choices and savings management are influenced by habits, emotions, attitude to risk, adaptation to the group and other instinctive components.

"THEhe savings management is a highly topical and sensitive issue for Italian families who increasingly show the need to increase their knowledge on the subject. In the process of evaluating an investment, not only technical skills, but also emotional and non-rational factors have an impact on choices. – commented Andrea Casini, Co-Head of Unicredit Italy – For this reason, we invest in financial education courses such as Unicredit Save4you and we provide in-depth tools to accompany customers and non-customers in adopting conscious economic behaviour”.

During the meeting, the "Guides to Conscious Investment" were distributed to all participants, created in collaboration with the Consumer Associations partners of Noi&Unicredit, to provide investors with ideas for evaluating the fundamental elements of an informed investment.

Il Save4you program will be developed in two successive phases, from April to September, available continuously in live streaming:
1. Basic Education Path: four lessons dedicated to those who have basic financial knowledge on the concepts of conscious saving and investment and family budgeting.

2. Advanced Education Path: four lessons, on topics such as the macroeconomic context and financial planning, generational transfer, taxation and assets, reserved for those who already have more advanced financial knowledge.

The Save4you project is part of the broader Unicredit program called In-formati thanks to which the bank has involved over 2011 people in financial education lessons since 200.000.
