From 2013 to today, the complex of initiatives promoted by UBI Banca to support AIRC has generated a contribution of over 4 million euros intended to finance research projects conducted by young researchers under 40. On the occasion of "I Giorni della Ricerca" (30 October – 5 November), in which the Italian Association for Cancer Research communicates the results and challenges of oncology research and gathers new resources, UBI Banca and AIRC confirm a partnership that has proven capable of bringing people together around the objective of making cancer increasingly treatable and raising awareness among the population on prevention issues.
The "UBI for AIRC" awareness campaign will involve all the branches of the UBI Group from 6 November with the distribution of "I Cioccolatini della Ricerca": all those who make a donation of at least 10 euros will be offered a pack of chocolates. For the first time, all the branches belonging to the banks acquired by UBI in May this year and present in Tuscany, Umbria, Marche, Abruzzo and Lazio will be involved. UBI Banca will also allocate specific disbursements to the Association linked to the issuing and activation of the Enjoy AIRC card, while Customers will have the possibility, with the "send money" function of the UBI Pay app, to make donations from their smartphone via the Jiffy circuit of SIA. UBI has supported AIRC in recent years also thanks to the placement of two Social Bonds, in 2013 and 2015, and to voluntary donations from employees through payroll deductions.
